Everybody has a different mouth kick
Yours is not the same as mine, and that is exactly why the plugins that guess never quite work.
SLEEPTALKER does not guess. You arm a pad, make your kick noise eight times, and it learns that noise. Do the same for your snare and your hat and you have a kit that answers to you specifically. Beatbox a bar and it comes out as MIDI on channel 10, quantised to nothing, played exactly when you played it.
It sings as well. Hum a line and you get notes, snapped to a key if you want them snapped, chromatic if you do not, or free with the pitch bend if you are doing something a grid cannot hold.
And it makes a sound on its own. There is a soft, half asleep synth and a synthesised kit built in, so you can load it and play something before you have wired a single thing up.

Measured with the benchmarks that ship in the source, so anyone can rerun them. Physics sets the floor on the low notes: you cannot identify a 65 Hz pitch before roughly two of its cycles have happened, and anything claiming less is measuring something else.
Try it
Download the zip, put the .vst3 folder in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, rescan. There is a
standalone in there too if you would rather not touch your DAW yet.
It is not code signed yet, so Windows will warn you. A certificate costs more than this has earned so far.
What the download does, and what $29 adds
The download is the whole plugin. All eight pads train, the kit plays, the melody side works, the built-in sounds are there, and nothing is on a timer. The one thing it does not do is keep your trained pads when you close the session, so every time you open the project you teach it again.
Buying stops that. Your pads are saved with the session, the way they should be. It is one payment, it covers every version, and it unlocks with a code and the email you bought it with. No account, no sign in, nothing to renew, and it still never talks to the internet.
Twenty nine dollars for something that stays yours. Dubler, which is the plugin people compare this to, is two hundred and nineteen, and it does not let you try it first.
What it is not
- Not polyphonic. One voice at a time, which is what a voice is.
- Not an offline transcriber. It plays live.
- Not going to turn a bad take into a good one.
